念佛是否得利，還要看你信願行是否具足，對凈土法門要深信不疑，要發出離以苦為本的娑婆世界，求生西方凈土之願。另外，還要發菩提心，發成佛自利利他之心，好事向他人，壞事向自己，處處為他人著想，尤其要善待傢人，如果身邊的人都沒照顧好，離極樂世界就更遙遠瞭。

Whether you get the benefit from Recitation of the name of the Buddha or not, it depends on that you whether you have completely possessed – faith, vow, and practice. You must have a deep Faith on Pure Land’s Gate with no doubt; you must make a wish of renunciation to free from the Saha world that is based on suffering, and also make a Vow to reborn in the Western Pure Land.

In addition, you also make an awakening mind （bodhicitta） to become a Buddha to benefit yourself and others and wish good things towards others and bad things towards yourself. Everything is concerned for others, especially kind to the family if you cannot take care of the people that surround you; it is farther away from the Western Pure Land.
