達照法師：空谷回音（漢英開示）

“是身如響，屬諸因緣。”色身如同空谷回音，雖然有聲音，但其實還是源於你自己，你要是不出聲，山谷也不會發出任何響聲，這就是因；另外，山谷也要是空的，不空的也不會有回聲，這就是緣。響聲沒有屬於自己的東西，過去就都沒有瞭，所以說它“屬諸因緣”。我們這個色身也一樣，好像從生到死幾十年都在努力，過得轟轟烈烈的，其實都是因緣的顯現，有因無緣、有緣無因全都不成，完全沒有屬於自己的東西，這叫做空谷回音。

“This physical body is like sound, it belongs to many karma.” The body is like hollow echo, although it has a voice, but still from yourself in fact. If you don't make a sound, the valley doesn't make any noise, and that's a primary cause. In addition, the valley should also be empty, there will be no echo if it is not empty, and that's a secondary cause.Sound has nothing of its own, the past has all gone, so it belongs to a lot of karma.Our physical body is similar, as if we are all in the effort for several decades, from the birth to the death, leading with vigour and vitality, in fact they are all the appearance of karma. If there is a direct cause without a secondary cause, or a secondary cause without a direct cause, nothing is impossible. This body has nothing of its own, this is called hollow echo.
